Yes- Desitrend® granules are licensed for administration via feeding tubes.
Advice on administration via enteral tube
Give via intravenous route first line if appropriate. Desitrend® granules are licensed for administration via enteral feeding tubes. Stop the enteral feed before administration. Mix the dose with 10-15mL of water in the barrel of an enteral syringe and shake for at least 2 minutes before administering via enteral feeding tube. Flush the feeding tube with water before and after administration of the medication. No break in feeding is required after the medication has been administered.
