both long and short term swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). It
is also applicable to those with PEG and PEJ tubes in situ.
Can the medication safely be
stopped temporarily?
Sometimes drugs may be suspended for short periods of time
without causing significant harm, as in statin therapy. However,
advice must be sought from the patient's doctor to establish
this.
